It is not clear how this list of 18 was compiled. Or why those 18 were specifically chosen. Einstein, Netanyahu, and Bloomberg certainly deserve to be on the list. Greenspan made the list, but not Bernanke. I would have liked to see both.

But the most notable absence from the list is Sigmund Freud. And if the requirement is to have been on a magazine cover, surely Freud has appeared on a couple. Both Freud’s parents were Jewish. His father was Jacob Freud and Jacob’s family were Hasidic Jews. Jacob came to be known for his Torah study.

Another very notable absence is Ludwig Wittgenstein. His pioneering work in linguistic philosophy ranks him as the greatest philosopher of the 20th century.

And the father of modern linguistics, Noam Chomsky, is Jewish.

Nor is the list politically correct! Out of the 18, only 5 are women. And they are either models or actresses. All very beautiful, but surely there are notable and beautiful Jewish women who are not models or actresses. I would have liked to see nine women on the list of 18. And I would have liked to see women from various disciplines, most especially law and politics: Gloria Allred, Lisa Bloom, Melinda Katz, Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

I’m reasonably well-read, but I’ve never heard of numbers 5 and 6 (Gadot and Saban). Surely you could have come up with a few more significant names, such as: Golda Meir, Henry Kissinger, Edward Teller, and Steven Spielberg.

And not to be picky (especially since he is one of the most brilliant minds of all time), but why did you term Einstein an “Inventor”???
